Analytical Laboratories, Inc., since 1995, Michael Milholland earned a
bachelor of science degree in biology and chemistry from Valparaiso University. He has done graduate work in biology at Purdue University and regularly participates in forensic science seminars.
As a chemist at Barker & Herbert, Mr. Milholland’s key responsibility is the security testing of instant lottery
tickets in our lab, known internationally for its expertise. In fact, he has developed several innovative techniques for compromising
lottery tickets.
Mr. Milholland has qualified as an expert witness in forensic chemistry, providing sworn testimony in state court. He is experienced in a broad variety of qualitative and quantitative analytical methodologies.
As an active member of the American Society of Testing and Materials’ committee E-30 on Forensic Sciences, he has participated in the review and editing of standards commonly used in forensic laboratories worldwide. Mr. Milholland is also a member of the American Chemical Society, International Association of Arson Investigators, and the Indiana Arson and Crime Association.
